A Meditaiton on Morning Prayer

By A Poor Clare Nun

"Lord, my God you defended my cause; you ransomed my life."

(Second Antiphon for Today's Morning Prayer)

Oh the truth we hold in our hearts, the justice that we long for, the good we desire God defends !! God will always give us grace to persevere when what we ultimately seek is according to his revealed word and will.

And he ransomed our lives - he paid the price - he gave everything for us - he bought us back from the power of the evil one.

Saint Padre Pio always said that souls are bought at a great price, and we who are involved in spiritual warfare know that. It will cost us too everything, but what can be more worthwhile that to save souls - to be a co-worker with Christ, and we are co-workers, co-prayers by entering deeply into the meaning of our hours.
