Dream Come True

For the past few days, I have been visiting with my grandchild, Peyton, rocking, kissing his smiling, sweet face, playing patty-cake and singing "You Are My Sunshine" and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." I'm home now, counting the days for my next visit.
The itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the spout again

You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

Peace And All Good,
Little Scribe

What a sweetie!!

"Veggie Tales" has a verse of "You are my sunshine" that I'd never heard before, but Little Brother loves it. I can't remember all the lyrics but part of it is "God's love is sunshine." Priceless.

Thanks for writing. I found your blog recently and really like it. Also, I'll have to find the lyrics you mentioned. I'm not familiar with Veggie Tales but guess I'll be learning lots of new things with the grandbaby.

Awwww come on now! Why'd ya have to post such a cute picture?? My wife just got me used to the idea that we have enough kids! ;)

Actually, I sing that song to my two boys every night after prayers.

Thanks for writing Steve. Nothing can compare to the sweetness and joy of babies, especially our children and grandchildren. The songs I sing to the grandbaby are from my childhood. Good that you sing to your boys. They will always remember.
