Prayers for Patty

My friend and Franciscan sister, Patty, has taken a turn for the worse this morning, and her husband said that he does not think she is going to make it. Please pray for her. John Paul II, please intercede, you and all the Saints in heaven. St. Francis and St. Clare, please pray for Patty. Blessed Mother, be with Patty and hold her in your arms, we pray. Bring comfort to the family. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, we pray for your healing touch on the frail little body of our friend.

PRAYER FOR ASKING GRACES THROUGH THE
INTERCESSION OF THE SERVANT OF GOD
THE POPE JOHN PAUL II

O Blessed Trinity
We thank You for having graced the Church
with Pope John Paul II
and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care,
the glory of the cross of Christ,
and the splendor of the Holy Spirit,
to shine through him.
Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary,
he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd,
and has shown us that holiness
is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life
and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you.
Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will,
the graces we implore,
hoping that he will soon be numbered
among your saints.
Amen.

Within his heart, upon the Cross unto the Eternal light,
HE CARRIED all these souls ! For to him all are alive....
At the moment of his agony,
he held within him every soul ever created,
every soul in the process of being created,
and every soul that would ever yet be !!
And WHY ? for loves sake, for loves sake !!!

Pray to the Sweet suffering Saviour today for all the dead......
for those for whom life has passed in this world,
and for all those who are dead in SIN.....

May the light of his Cross fall upon the faces of them all !!!

Saint Theresa's Prayer

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing,
Dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

From Lorica of Saint Patrick

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through a belief in the Threeness,
Through a confession of the Oneness
Of the Creator of creation

-St. Patrick (ca. 377)-
